About the Relay

Friends together at finish lineOur race operates like just about any other relay. One runner is allowed on the course at a time and must complete the entire leg before handing off at the designated transition zones. In total, there are 18 legs. Team members not on the course will shuttle their teams between transition zones.

Whether an ultra team of 2-3 runners or full team of 4-6 runners, you are expected to follow the same batting order rotation throughout race. There is an exception to that rule in the case that a runner is incapacitated and unable to continue. In that case, the next runner in the rotation should move up to that slot.

Captains will fill out a team registration form, along with payment, to secure their entire team’s spot in the event. Register today.

The Course

Starting at the Trapp Family Lodge Bierhall (yes, those Von Trapps), the course covers 100 miles on scenic Route 100 from Stowe to Ludlow. Along the way, you’ll experience picturesque covered bridges, rolling fields, and majestic mountains while winding through the Breadloaf Wilderness, Killington Mountain Resort, and the Ben & Jerry’s Factory Store. All of that and more awaits you before finishing at the Jackson Gore Village at
Okemo Ice House (36 Jackson Gore Rd, Ludlow, VT 05149)

Parking

There will be plenty of parking at the start line located at the Trapp Family Lodge Bierhall (1333 Luce Hill Rd, Stowe, VT 05672).

Please note that all teams are responsible for coordinating and booking their own transportation.
